SSI 2010: Registration Main

Registration must be completed by June 3, 2010.

Please read the following information carefully before submitting your registration.  Details on payment, lodging, transportation, meals, workshops, individual/team participation, and cancellations/substitutions are included on this page.

A Special Note to Team Participants: If you will be attending SSI 2010 as a part of a team, please be sure to coordinate registration with your team leader and other team members. The team leader is responsible for ensuring that his/her entire team has registered. If you are filling out the registration form for a fellow team member, please double-check all information for accuracy (e.g. title, correct spelling of names, etc.) as this will be used for printed program materials.

Online Registration & Program Fee
A completed online registration form is required for all participants.  Team leaders are responsible for ensuring all team members complete the form by the deadline.  Each participant is responsible for the $400 program fee that covers meals, materials, and enrollment.  The fee for graduate or undergraduate participation is $250. 

The online registration form will generate an invoice – please print the completed form before hitting ‘submit’.  Please go to the Payment page for details on how to submit payment to SENCER.

Cancellations
Please see SSI’s Cancellation Policies page for details on cancellations and substitutions.  You must notify SENCER of a cancellation or substitution immediately.

Institute Overview
SSI 2010 will take place from July 29– August 2, with half-day workshops on August 1.  Institute activities will take place on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, the host institution. If you were invited to participate in the Pre-Institute Team Planning Day, the program will be held on July 29th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Travel
Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to Asheville, NC.  The Institute will begin on July 29th at 4:00 p.m. with on-site registration (to pick up SSI 2010 printed materials and last-minute information).  The Institute will conclude by 3:00 pm on Monday, August 10th.  Please see the Getting to Asheville page for travel options.

Lodging
SENCER will coordinate on-campus lodging requests for SSI 2010.  Housing is limited, so please visit the Lodging Options page for more information and to complete the Lodging Request Form.

Participants wishing to stay off-campus in a hotel are responsible for arranging their own reservation(s).  A low group rate has been negotiated with a downtown Asheville hotel.  Please visit the Lodging page linked above for more details.

Meals
A welcome dinner will be held on Thursday, July 29th for all participants.  On July 30th, 31st, and August 1st and 2nd, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be available through UNCA’s dining facilities.  These meals are provided only for registered SSI participants and the cost is included in your program fee.  If you are a registered participant who would like to bring a guest to one or multiple meals, please submit a request for a Guest Meal Pass.

Transportation During SSI 2010
Shuttle service will be provided in the evenings from the University of North Carolina at Asheville campus to downtown (a short ride away).  For those of you staying off-campus in a hotel, the campus will have ample free parking.

Institute Workshops
Enrollment in a half-day Institute workshop is open to all invited participants, and participants may select a workshop at a later date via email.  Selections will be posted and participants will be notified via email.  All workshops will be held on Sunday, August 1st from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
