Resources: E-News

SENCER has launched a new web- and email-friendly format for our news delivery to better serve the SENCER community. The SENCER News will continue to foster a national climate for science education reform by linking innovative educators with one another and with the exciting work taking place at institutions worldwide.

The news will feature symposia announcements, funding opportunities, news from colleagues, articles on emerging SENCER projects, essays, and field reports from SENCER institutions. The new format will make it easier for us to convey this information to you in a more timely fashion, at least twice per month via email with links to updated information on this website. News will be posted primarily on the SENCER home page and the In the News page (under 'About SENCER').  If you haven't already, take a minute and subscribe to our mailing group to ensure that you receive the news.

The format also better reflects the direction we having been moving in with the creation of the SENCER Digital Library.  The objective of that project was to make all of our resources more easily usable by taking them out of static PDF documents and digitizing them.  The change in the delivery of news is a natural outgrowth – in the effort to make the news as accessible as our models and backgrounders.  Items of significance that are featured in the news will also be added to the Digital Library and will still have a publication date attached for record purposes.

As always, we invite you to send us announcements about symposia or job opportunities, campus reports on your work at any stage, and suggestions for newsletter stories.
