Meetings: Washington, DC Symposium and Capitol Hill Poster Session 2009
Transportation During the Symposium Monday, March 30th On March 30th, the events will be held at the Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. We have arranged for a shuttle bus in the morning and afternoon. This bus will run in 20 minute intervals between the hotel and the student union. If you choose to stay at a hotel other than the Inn, you will be responsible for your own transportation. Shuttle bus schedule for Monday, March 30th: 7:30 – 9:00 am 5:30 – 6:45 pm *Please note registration and breakfast will be held from 8:00 – 9:00 am, and that the Symposium program begins promptly at 9:00 am. Tuesday, March 31st Events scheduled for March 31st will take place on Capitol Hill. Participants will attend meetings with their congressional delegations in the morning at various times. Since participants will have to be on Capitol Hill at different times, we will provide a shuttle bus between the Inn and the College Park metro station from 7:45 – 10:45 am. We will provide metro cards for each participant and directions to Capitol Hill on the metro system. Please allot at least one hour for your trip, and to allow for time to go through building security to get to your appointment. The poster session will be held in the Rayburn Office Building on Capitol Hill from 12:00 – 2:30 pm, with a set-up period from 11:30 – 12:00. All participants should plan to be at Rayburn no later than 11:50 am. The poster session, and symposium, will conclude at 2:30 pm. We are unable to provide shuttle service from the College Park metro station to the Inn in the afternoon, but it is a short ride or walk to the Inn.
