Outreach: SENCER Center for Innovation - West
SCI-West and the Host Institution Santa Clara University is the host institution for SCI-West, in collaboration with Saint Mary's College of California. Santa Clara University is a Jesuit University in Silicon Valley with a 155-year tradition of educating the whole person for a life of service and leadership. SCU is California's oldest operating institution of higher education, and was founded on the site of Mission Santa Clara de Asis, the eighth of the original twenty-one California missions. It is home to 4600 undergraduate students and over 3500 graduate students. Areas of Expertise and Focus SCI-West initiatives are open to participants around the U.S. but are primarily designed to address the needs and interests of individuals in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The SCI-West group has broad expertise among its members, but has a particular interest in sustainability on- and off-campus and undergraduate research.
