Project Guidelines and Restrictions The purpose of the SENCER-National Science Foundation sub-awards is to support the successful implementation of SENCER projects on campus. Implementations include courses, curricula, and faculty development initiatives, among others. Application deadlines: Please see the main implementation awards page Funding and term: Up to $3,000 for two years, contingent on availability from the National Science Foundation. Matching: There is no formal matching requirement, however applicants are encourage to note any institutional contribution current or future, on their requests. Applicants can list in-kind contributions as well as costs associated with attending SSI 2009 and subsequent Institute as evidence of support. Eligible budget items: Stipends, materials, travel to meetings, others not prohibited below. Ineligible budget items: Expenses associated with participation in SSI 2009 or past SENCER events (travel, registration fees, etc.), equipment, memberships, any indirect costs. Assessment: For projects proposing course/curricula development, applicants must agree to use the SENCER-SALG in addition to other assessment and evaluation activities. Ideally, applicants will find a use for the SENCER-SALG, even in a non-course project. For non-course projects, applicants are expected to have an assessment plan of some type if the SENCER-SALG is not an appropriate method of evaluation.
