Institutes: Summer Institute 2010

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR INVITED PARTICIPANTS & GUESTS

Asheville is a beautiful town with numerous activities and options for SSI 2010 participants and their guests. The downtown area holds a diverse selection of wonderful restaurants and artisan shops (clothing, painting, other textiles, pottery, jewelry). Settled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina, close to the borders of Tennessee and Virginia, the area also offers outdoor options - hiking, cycling, and whitewater rafting are just a few activities visitors can try. Please consult Asheville's official tourism site for more information.

On Sunday, August 1, 2010, SENCER will arrange three activities for Institute participants to take part in. Participation is optional, and guests traveling with participants are welcome. Please note, all activities will take place at the same time.

Space is limited for all activities, and pre-registration is required.  Please send your request to Shanna Dell by July 20.  Payment will be due at on-site registration.
