SENCER FastLane: Final Report Form

This report consists of eight major sections. Please complete each section. The sections include:

  1. Identifying Information (Information about you, your institution, and your SENCER team)
  2. Goals and Progress on Goals (Brief narrative description of your progress on your major objectives; you will be using the fields in section seven to report specific information on each course designed or modified as a result of your SENCER participation)
  3. Dissemination and Recognition (Information on your faculty development activities, presentations, publications, and awards/recognition for your SENCER work)
  4. Assessment (Describe assessment strategies and report results)
  5. Future Plans (Describe your next steps)
  6. Recommendations (Do you have any advice/suggestions you want to give us?)
  7. Financial Report (Brief account of how sub-award has been spent)
  8. Courses Emerging from the SENCER Project (Detailed description of each course designed or modified as a result of your SENCER participation)

II. Goals and Progress on Goals - This section calls for a narrative description of your project’s activities and solicits evidence regarding your goals and accomplishments. In the space provided, please respond to the following:
  1. Briefly summarize the 2-3 main goals you had for your project.
  2. Indicate if/how your goals changed following participation in the Summer Institute.
  3. What has been achieved thus far?
  4. What specific challenges did you encounter and what have you done to address them?
You may reference courses modified/developed as a result of your participation in SENCER, but please note that section VII asks for detailed information regarding all courses.
III. Dissemination and Recognition - This section calls for brief descriptions of your efforts to disseminate what you have learned from participating in the SENCER program with campus colleagues, colleagues in disciplinary organizations, and others. It also provides an opportunity for you to list any publications, awards, and recognitions that are associated with your SENCER work.
Publications: Please provide a list of any publications that are outgrowths of your SENCER work. This includes any journal articles as well as general publicity including newspaper articles, campus newsletters, web site development, and online publications. Please provide appropriate citations for each publication.
Presentations: Please provide a list of presentations/workshops based on your SENCER work. For each activity, please include the title, date, venue, and approximate number of people in attendance.
Awards/Recognitions: Please let us know of any awards or special recognitions that have been given as a result of your SENCER project. Please provide names, dates, and any press releases associated with these awards/recognitions. This also applies to cases of promotion and tenure where SENCER has been mentioned as a factor.
Faculty development/local dissemination: Please provide a description of these activities including dates and numbers of persons involved. This pertains mostly to activities on your own campus.
IV. Assessment - This section calls for specific details regarding current and ongoing assessment activities associated with your SENCER project. In the space provided, please respond to the following:
1. Describe the assessment activities that are associated with your SENCER project. 2. Is the SENCER SALG being used? If not, please explain.3. Be as specific as possible and include any initial findings and results associated with the work.
V. Future Plans - This section gives you an opportunity to describe the next steps for your SENCER project. (What remains to be done?)
VI. Recommendations - Please use this space to provide feedback, make recommendations, or share your thoughts with the SENCER National Office.
