Greg Wahl has been a leader in connecting science education to the development of excellent writing skills and in helping science educators use intensive writing projects in their science courses to improve science learning.  As a member of the Montgomery College SENCER team, Greg has helped stimulate the wider adoption of intensive writing in courses with a civic focus and he has disseminated the results of this work to the larger community of STEM educators involved with the SENCER project.

As a SENCER Leadership Fellow, Greg will work closely with colleagues in the reading and writing centers to continue the development of SENCER-related writing projects and, on a national basis, he will work with other community college colleagues to explore using SENCER principles to improve achievement in developmental course taught at the college level.

Greg was elected to the inaugural class of Leadership Fellows in July 2008.
