About SENCER Leadership Fellow Robert Seiser
Robert Seiser is a thoughtful energetic, dedicated and thoughtful young scholar who, with colleagues on the Roosevelt SENCER team, has accomplished great things in improving teaching and learning in the STEM disciplines. From the development of new courses, adapting these courses for on-line access, presenting findings to colleagues regionally and nationally, and participating in the development of applications to secure new resources to support these innovations, Bob’s contributions have been exemplary. Bob’s plans for increasing expanding innovative activities and recruiting pre-service teachers to the newly developed SENCER courses are especially appealing to the National Fellowship Board and of great potential use to the SENCER community.
As a SENCER Leadership Fellow, Bob is planning to work for the wider adoption of SENCER courses, develop new curricular materials and resources, support regional collaborations (especially those promoting articulation with two-year colleges), and to revise Biology 113 so that it has the potential to become a SENCER National model.
Bob was elected to the inaugural class of Leadership Fellows in July 2008.
