David Rutschman, acting dean and professor of mathematics at Northeastern Illinois University, will continue to lead efforts to incorporate civic engagement into STEM courses, particularly for the core courses in the new Environmental Science major and for both general education and lower-level science courses. 

David was elected a SENCER Leadership Fellow in July 2009.
