Gary Booth truly has been an ambassador for the SENCER ideals on his own campus where he has instituted a broad range of pedagogical reforms in his biology courses, introduced his graduate students to SENCER methods, supported faculty development, and stimulated civic engagement.  Beyond Brigham Young University, Gary has worked tirelessly to connect improvements in science learning to service learning and research-connected initiatives in Utah and around the nation.

As a SENCER Leadership Fellow, Gary will be expanding his vital outreach activities as he continues to support the development of exceptional science courses, student research projects, and service learning initiatives at Brigham Young University.

Gary was elected to the inaugural class of Leadership Fellows in July 2008.
